About us

Fat Cat Tattoo was founded in 1995 by Clark Hopper and Piro Native, Christopher Aguilar. The shop has a classic feel while embracing modern growth and evolution. Big Chris Aguilar, the "Fat Cat" himself, has been a mentor and inspiration to countless tattoo artists and has brought the community together on numerous occasions.

The shop is rooted in the belief that tattooing is a special and intimate experience. Fat Cat Tattoo prioritizes being there for people in their time of need, offering a welcoming space filled with friendly faces and good vibes. Over the years, Fat Cat Tattoo has expanded into other shops, cities, and even countries, but the Citrus Heights location on Greenback remains Chris’s cherished "baby."

Fat Cat Tattoo is home to a team of incredibly talented artists who are always striving to improve, even though they’re already highly skilled. The shop offers tattoos in every style, from black and grey realism and portraits to bold American traditional designs and unique artist-driven illustrations. Whether it’s a big, detailed piece or a small, simple design, the team pours their heart and soul into every tattoo.

Fat Cat Tattoo is deeply committed to inclusivity, striving to ensure that everyone, no matter their background or identity, feels safe and welcome.
